Approximately 70 MIS veterans, family members and friends gathered for their annual club luncheon today. 

The lucheon featured Japanese food, lots of door prizes and a time for family members to recognize the vetarans.

The Consul General of Japan, Yasushi Misawa, addressed the group as the keynote speaker.

Hawaii Nisei Veterans Exhibit Opens


Honolulu, Hawaii. The NVLC's permanent exhibit titled, "Hawaii Nisei Veterans", opened at the Honolulu International Airport today. The dedication ceremony was attended by veterans, dignitaries, family and friends. Among the veterans present were Kenji Ego and Robert Kishnami of the 442nd RCT and former governor Ariyoshi and Herbert Yanamura of the MIS. NVLC's President Deguchi stated, "this exhbit is part of our ongoing commitment to promote the incredible story of the veterans." It highlights the legacy of all four Nisei units.
