The commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor will feature over a week (December 1–11) of activites and events. A special luncheon to honor the AJA veterans will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016.
This event will honor the World War II veterans of the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team and the Military Intelligence Service. Those units were made up primarily of Americans of Japanese ancestry. The Pearl Harbor attack cast doubt on their loyalty, and they answered with unsurpassed service and sacrifice. After the war, they helped change Hawaii and America.
