Micah Benavitz, NVL board director and teacher at Mililani HS, recently chaperoned the Hawaii contingent to the National History Day finals held in Washington, D.C. in June 2023. His student, Althea “Allie” Juan, participated in the event. Her documentary on the Military Intelligence Service won in Hawaii and she received an award and small scholarship.
