100th Infantry Battalion Celebrates 75th Anniversary

Called “Diamond Jubilee”, the 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans Club held it’s 75th Anniversary Banquet today. The program began with the announcement and entry into the ballroom of a dozen veterans of the 100th, to the applause of the crowd. Dignitaries in attendance included Governor Ige, Mayor Caldwell, Japan Counsel General Misawa, and retired General Bramlett, to name a few. Dr. Mitchell Maki, President and CEO of the Go For Broke National Education Center delivered an inspiring keynote speech. The entertainment included Okinawan music and dance performed by Grant Murata, Gensei Kai and Koren Ongaku.
