11th Annual Joint Memorial Service

Sunday, September 25, 2016. The 11th Annual Joint Memorial Service was held today at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), Honolulu, Hawaii. A crowd of 400 including veterans, friends and family members, gathered to pay tribute to the all those who served in the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Military Intelligence Service and 1399 Engineer Construction Battalion. This year’s theme, “Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future,” coincides with the upcoming commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The keynote speech was delivered by Matt Matsunaga. Barbara Tanabe emceed the program. Lynn Heirakuji served as committee chair of the event.
