The 442nd Veterans Club held’s a luncheon today to commemorate the 73rd Anniversary of the formation of the famed Army Unit. Over 500 family and friends, including 60 veterans, attended the celebration held at the Pacific Beach Hotel in Honolulu. The late Senator Inouye’s son, Ken, served as the emcee for the event. The keynote speech was delivered by General Vincent K. Brooks who commands the U.S. Army Pacific. Proclamations were presented to the veterans by both Governor Ige and Mayor Caldwell.
