Medal of Honor Recipient George T. Sakato Passes Away at 94 Earned Nation’s Highest Award for Valor during WWII

December 12, 2015

George Taro “Joe” Sakato, a private in Company E, Third Platoon, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, passed away on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 94. George was the last living WWII Nisei Medal of Honor recipient.
